Challenge:
Design a playful yet purposeful identity and book series for SEED—a Social & Emotional Learning program—crafted to nurture empathy, resilience, and self-awareness in children. The design needed to be age-appropriate, emotionally resonant, and visually compelling, while clearly communicating the core SEL principles.
Solution:
Developed a vibrant and child-friendly brand identity reflecting the five core SEL competencies—Self-Awareness, Self-Management, Social Awareness, Relationship Skills, and Responsible Decision-Making. Designed an integrated book series comprising an Activity Manual and a Teacher/Counselor Manual, using playful illustrations, storytelling, and visual cues to make learning accessible, engaging, and emotionally enriching.
Result:
The SEED series is ready for launch as a comprehensive and visually engaging SEL curriculum. Early reviews from educators and counselors have been encouraging, highlighting the child-centric design and thoughtful integration of SEL principles. The series is expected to support emotional well-being, promote empathy, and foster positive behavior among children as it rolls out in schools.
